About the School

School of Computer Science (SOCS) was established on 24-10-2005 vide G.O. (Ms) No.2 dated 09-01-2004. The School provides strong fundamentals, project and team-oriented activities, as well as soft skills, leading to a well-rounded professional education. The School offers 2 Under Graduate programmes, 2 Post Graduate Programmes and Research Programmes

• To make young minds successful and swift programmers by imparting quality computer education through technology and a dream to bring computers and people together in a way that would allow the world to reap the benefits of IT education. To turn this vision into reality we need to create a talent pool of bright young minds who would power the engines of growth of the global economy with strong research orientation.

• To impart high quality professional training at the postgraduate and undergraduate level with an emphasis on basic principles of computer science.
• To empower the students with the required skills to deliver quality, prompt, effective problem-solvers to the society.
• To impart moral, ethical values and interpersonal skills to the students in the field of Computer Science.

Objectives

• To impart professional training at Postgraduate, Undergraduate level and Diploma Level and we offer students a high-quality, innovative education that focuses on the fundamentals of computer science while emphasizing technology, preparing our students for employment and advanced studies.
• To impart the moral, professional ethics and interpersonal skills to the students in the field of Computer Science.
• The faculties of the school of Computer Science provide guidance and research opportunities in many areas of Computer Science.
