Preface

PREAMBLE

The Centre for University-Industry – Institution Collaboration (CUIIC), established on the Special Occasion of 75 Silver Jubilee Independence Day Celebration – August 15, 2021 with a primary vision and mission such as Faculty Empowerment Programmes, Arranging Industrial Training and Project for Students; Training Programmes for students on Core Competency Development and research in all subjects in collaboration with industries and various Institutions in India. The Centre also plans to conduct training on Soft Skill Development, Competency Building and Core Competency; identifying and creation of linkages between University and Industry; encourage research fellowship from industries; Campus Placement for Degree, Postgraduate Degree, Certificate, Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma Students, Interaction between University and Industry, and Training Programmes for students on core competency development such as employability skills, awareness on employment avenues etc. The CUIIC also plan to conduct Regional Centre wise “Job Exhibition or Training Programme for all students throughout Tamilnadu State.

FUNCTIONS

    Plan to conduct —-
  • i. Programmes to improve communication skills, assertiveness, developing leadership attributes and enhancing the level of internal motivation of the students.
  • ii. Conduct Soft Skill Development and Competency Building Programmes to the students to increase their employability skills.
  • iii. Career Information fairs for all students in all 8 Regional centers or in all Taluks
  • iv. Campus interviews by collaborating with the industries.
  • v. Orientation Programmes on Industrial Expectations for the benefit of Students.
  • vi. Seminars, Symposia and Workshops on current topics to Employability.
  • vii. Interacting with various Industrial Personnel and consolidating the Industrial demand/expectations for the benefit of the students.
  • viii. Career Guidance and Counseling for U.G. and P.G. Degree Students.
  • ix. Facilitating Interaction meeting for research in various Institutions and Industries.
  • x. Facilitating Research Fellowships from industries
  • xi. Various interactive Cultural Programmes
  • xii. Programmes for promoting Industry-Institute interactions
  • xiii. Regional Get-togethers of Regional Centres, Learning Support Centres and Industries.
